The contents of the vehicle tool kit depends on the vehicle equipment level. The following describes the maximum scope.

The vehicle tool kit comprises the following parts  

1. Adapter for the anti-theft wheel bolts. Volkswagen recommends you carry the wheel bolt adapter in the vehicle tool kit at all times. The code number of the anti-theft wheel bolt is stamped on the front of the adapter. You will need this number to replace the adapter if lost. Make a note of the code number for the anti-theft wheel bolt and keep it in a safe place – but not inside the vehicle.
2. Removable towing eye.
3. Box spanner for wheel bolts.
4. Jack. Before you return the jack to the tool box, fully wind in the claw. Next the crank lever must be braced against the side of the jack in order to stow the jack.
5. Screwdriver with hexagon socket in the handle for slackened wheel bolts. The screwdriver blade is reversible. The screwdriver may be located under the box spanner.
6. Wire hook for pulling off the centre cover, wheel covers and the wheel bolt caps.
