First read and observe the introductory
information and safety warnings The factory-fitted windscreen wiper
blades are coated with graphite. The graphite coating ensures that windscreen
wiper blade moves quietly over the windscreen. If the graphite coating is
damaged, the windscreen wiper will become louder.
Regularly check the condition of the wiper blades. Rubbing wiper
blades
should be changed if damaged or cleaned if dirty .
Damaged wiper blades should be replaced immediately. Windscreen wiper blades
can be bought from a qualified workshop.
Lifting and folding back the windscreen wiper arms
To lift or fold back a wiper arm take hold only at the wiper
blade mounting.
Please note for the windscreen wiper: adjust the wiper arms
to the service position before folding back .
Cleaning windscreen wiper blades
- Lift and fold back the windscreen wiper arms.
- Use a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt carefully from the windscreen
wiper blades.
- If the windscreen wiper blades are heavily soiled, clean them carefully
with a sponge or cloth .
Changing the windscreen wiper blades
- Lift and fold back the windscreen wiper arms.
- Press and hold release button and pull off the wiper blade in the
direction of the arrow at the same time.
- Insert a new wiper blade with the same length and design
on to the wiper arm. Push it on until it engages.
- Push the windscreen wiper arm back onto the windscreen.
Changing the wiper blade for the rear window
- Lift and fold back the wiper arm.
- Turn the wiper blade through 90° to disengage it.
- Take hold of the wiper arm with your right hand .
- Pull off the release on the holder in the direction of the arrow .
You may need to use some force to do this.
- Remove the wiper blade in the direction of the arrow .
- Insert a new wiper blade with the same length and design
on to the wiper arm against the direction of the arrow. Push it on until it
engages .
- Push the release against the direction of the arrow in order to lock
the wiper blade.
- Push the wiper arm back onto the rear window.
WARNING
Worn or dirty windscreen wiper blades reduce visibility and increase the risk of
accidents and severe injuries.
- Therefore, always change windscreen wiper blades if they are damaged or
worn and no longer clean the windscreen properly.
NOTICE
- Damaged or dirty windscreen wipers could scratch the windscreen.
- Detergents containing solvents, hard sponges and other sharp objects can
damage the graphite coating.
- Do not use fuel, nail varnish remover, paint thinner or similar products
to clean the windows.
