First read and observe the introductory information
and safety warnings Child seats with the ISOFIX
system and top tether must be secured on the outer seats of the second row of seats
only.
- Observe the instructions provided by the child seat manufacturer when fitting
or removing the child seat .
- Release the backrest of the second row of seats and push the backrest forwards
slightly .
- Remove the head restraint located behind the child seat and stow it securely
in the vehicle .
- Guide the top tether of the child seat to the rear between the backrest
and luggage compartment cover into the luggage compartment.
- Fold back the seat backrest and push it firmly into the lock until it engages.
- Attach the child seat to the lower anchoring points .
- Fasten the top tether to the retaining rings in the luggage compartment
.
- Stretch the belt so that the child seat is positioned high on the backrest.
If the seat or the backrest is readjusted the child seat must then also be checked
to see that it is fitted securely and readjusted as necessary.

WARNING
Child seats attached using the lower anchoring points and top tether must be fitted
according to the instructions from the manufacturer. This could otherwise lead to
severe injuries.
- Never attach more than one top tether from a child seat to one retaining
ring in the luggage compartment.
- Use the bolted on side fastening rings only to attach the top tether.
- Never attach the top tether to fastening rings other than those bolted
on at the side.
- Child seats with a top tether must be fitted only when there are three seats
on the second row of seats.
A child seat may not be used together with the top tether if the net partition
is installed.
