Volkswagen Touran Owners Manual: Roll-back function on the panoramic sliding roof and the sun blind

First read and observe the introductory information and safety warnings 

The roll-back function can reduce the risk of injury when closing the panoramic sliding roof and the sun blind  . If the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind is not able to close because it is stiff or obstructed, the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind will automatically open again.

• Check to see why the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind has not closed.

• Try to close the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind again.

• If the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind is still obstructed, the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind stops at this point. Then close the panoramic sliding roof or sun blind without the roll-back function.

Closing without the roll-back function

• The switch   must be turned to the closed position Ⓐ.

• Panorama sliding roof: within approximately 5 seconds of switching off the roll-back function, pull the switch back   (arrow E) and hold until the panorama sliding roof is fully closed.

• Sun blind: within approximately 5 seconds of switching off the roll-back function, press and hold the button   until the sun blind has fully closed.

• The panoramic sliding roof or the sun blind then closes without the roll-back function!

• Please go to a qualified workshop if the panoramic sliding roof still cannot be closed.

WARNING

• Always close the panoramic sliding roof with care.

• Ensure that nobody obstructs the path of the panorama sliding roof or sun blind, especially if the roll-back function is not active when the roof is being closed.

• The roll-back function does not prevent fingers or other body parts getting pinched against the roof frame and becoming injured.

The roll-back function is also activated if the windows and panorama sliding roof are closed using the vehicle key for convenience closing   .
