First read and observe the introductory information and safety warnings

Opening and closing the stowage compartment

If necessary, unlock the stowage compartment. The stowage compartment is locked when the key slot is vertical.

To open, pull up the opening lever  .

To close, push the cover upwards.

Vehicle wallet compartment

The stowage compartment on front passenger side is meant for the vehicle wallet.

The vehicle wallet should always be kept in this compartment. To stow the vehicle wallet, place it horizontally in the stowage compartment.

Cooling the stowage compartment

There is a vent   (arrow) in the rear panel. If the air conditioning is switched on, cooled air can be fed into the compartment. Open and close the vents by turning.

WARNING

An open stowage compartment on the front passenger side can increase the risk of serious injury in the case of an accident or during sudden braking or driving manoeuvres.

NOTICE

In some vehicle models, the stowage compartment on the front passenger side contains apertures, for example behind the compartment for the vehicle wallet. Small items could fall through the apertures and become trapped behind the trim. This could cause unusual noises and damage to the vehicle. For this reason do not store small items in the stowage compartment.
